Churchill War Rooms
The Churchill War Rooms is a museum and one of the five branches of the Imperial War Museum. It comprises the Cabinet War Rooms, a historic underground complex that housed a British government command centre throughout the Second World War, and the Churchill Museum, a biographical museum exploring the life of Prime Minister Winston Churchill.
It is reputedly haunted by the sounds of footsteps, feelings of "unease" and the smell of cigar smoke. The hands of one of the clocks are said to move mysteriously. Pictured left is the entrance to the Churchill War Rooms courtesy of lxk85.

Whitehall is a road in the City of Westminster, Central London, which forms the first part of the A3212 road from Trafalgar Square to Chelsea.
It is the main thoroughfare running south from Trafalgar Square towards Parliament Square. The street is recognised as the centre of Her Majesty's Government and is lined with numerous departments and ministries including the Ministry of Defence, Horse Guards and the Cabinet Office. Consequently, the name "Whitehall" is used as a metonym for British central governmental administration, and the geographic name for the surrounding area.
